World Addition: A music room with a piano and a vase of statice flowers, maybe. That failing some kind of ambient music and flowers.
Why is your character here: What's drawn Elliot to Decollage is the desire to undo or mitigate the damage of his death. He knows full well that he died in a way that left a burden upon a lot of his most important people, so he wants to work to ease that. If at all possible he'd like to return to help with setting things right for the crimes that he now knows he committed and to restore the Nightray family to a noble standing.
Character history:
Elliot is the youngest son of the noble Nightray family, one of the four major duke households within Pandora Hearts. As a young boy, Elliot is raised to foremost resent the Vessalius family for the accolades they gained as descendants of Jack Vessalius and focus on restoring honor to his family. He is very close to his three older brothers and older sister and even grows close to his two adopted brothers. When Elliot is fourteen, he's taken to an orphanage in the ruined city of Sablier. It's here that he meets Leo, an orphan connected to the Abyss. Despite their frequent arguments and fights, over time Elliot comes to admire Leo as someone he can be honest and open with and accepts on as his servant. It's also around this time that his adoptive brother Gilbert contracts with the family's chain Raven and a serial murderer appears, summarily beheading members of the Nightray family. Gilbert leaves the Nightray family soon thereafter, fearing for his life. Elliot attends Latowidge Academy where he one day meets Oz Vessalius. Though the two are at odds initially, Elliot later rescues Oz from the clutches of the Baserkvilles. Elliot and Oz have a few more encounters with one another, both in Sablier and at Oz's uncle Oscar's mansion. Elliot grudgingly recognizes Oz as a friend, agreeing to work to resolve the rift between their families and even going so far as to attend Oz's second coming of age ceremony. Unfortunately, the ceremony is just a front for the cult leader Isla Yura's attempts to recreate the Tragedy of Sablier. In the midst of the chaos, Elliot's sister Vanessa is killed by the reappeared headhunter and Elliot realizes that his mother has a part to play in Yura's machinations and finds her about to kill Leo for the sake of their recreation. Elliot temporarily loses control of himself, killing and beheading his own mother. Elliot then realizes that he is the headhunter and an illegal contractor for a chain called Humpty Dumpty. Humpty Dumpty rewrote his memories and is responsible for the deaths of two of Elliot's brothers and his sister. Refusing Humpty Dumpty's attempts to rewrite his memories once more, Elliot rejects his chain and perishes as a result.
Character personality:
Elliot is above all else, honest and forthright, sometimes to the point of being tactless. His devotion to his family, and the passion that he derives from this, shows in almost every action that he takes. He's sometimes easily frustrated and always easily angered, but he has a determination that carries him through even these mood swings. Elliot hardly ever thinks to hide his emotions, generally openly showing whether he's angry or upset with someone (it's usually the former) and he's always quick to give a verbal lashing that details exactly what they've done to get him so worked up. Despite his energy in these regards, Elliot's also quite sensitive and caring to those close to him. He writes his mother a song for her birthday every year, keeps close with his brothers and sisters, and even accepts his adoptive brothers into his family when his other siblings refuse to do so. Though prickly in a lot of ways, once you've earned Elliot’s devotion and trust he's a loyal and honest friend, though friendship doesn't necessarily mean that anyone gets a pass on his usual spats of ranting and raving.
Skill loss or memory loss?
Skill Loss
Effect of losing skills: LOTS OF ANGRY INCOMPETENT FRUSTRATION. Without his skills Elliot's going to be winded after even the shortest rants, completely unable to punch people for being morons, and utterly a failure with his sword. He'll definitely be determined to do everything he can to get his skills back as quickly as possible since a lot of them are matters of personal pride!1 The one positive impact of his skill loss will be that he's no longer going to be contracted to Humpty Dumpty. This means that Elliot will have full access to all of his memories. He also won't, yanno, black out and behead people when they threaten Leo. So that's a plus. He may be a little bit conflicted at the idea of regaining this skill in particular, but that’s something that I plan on working with as he gets used to the mechanics of the world and the possibilities that exist.

Third person sample:
It all started one afternoon while Elliot and Leo were on their way to the music room after classes. Elliot heard the sound before Leo, a sharp and high-pitched scream echoing through the halls of Latowidge.
"Leo--" he glanced to his servant, nodding once to his servant before the two of them set off together after the source of the sound. It took only a matter of minutes before they found it, two students in a classroom together, one female one male. The boy had the girl pushed up against the wall, his hands on her shoulders holding her in place as he made his advances. It was clear to anyone just what had to be done.
"KNOCK IT OFF!" Elliot shouted, lifting his bag up to slam it against the boy's shoulder, sending him flying. "Are you completely blind?! When a girl screams that doesn't mean you're supposed to keep going, you pervert! What the hell were you two even thinking?! This is a classroom, you morons! A public space! Don't you have even a shred of decency or shame to your name, you idiot?!"
"Elliot..." Leo interrupted, a curious edge to his voice.
"Don't interrupt, Leo! Anyway, you haven't answered my question yet!" Elliot barked, turning on the girl whose cries had drawn him here, "Why were you hanging around with trash like that?! Just what the hell were you thinking?!"
"I--" the girl stammered, flushing slightly, "But he's--"
"What? Your boyfriend? Your lover? Do you think that gives him permission to treat you like that? Cut the romantic crap! You're not supposed to let some guy push you around just for the sake of some romantic bullshit! You're practically a woman now, have you no--"
Suddenly, Elliot's rant was cut short by the all too familiar feeling of the scandalous affair between Leo's fist and his face.
"All right, that's enough," Leo chided him, his voice light.
Elliot stumbled back, only a step, before whirling to focus his rage on his own servant. "Leo! Just what was the meaning of that?"
"Well, let's see..." Leo mused for a moment, "Though I think it would be an interesting development, I don't think the director would really appreciate it if they departed from the script that much."
"Director? Script? What the hell are you talking about?!"
"Ah, but I think that he'd be more than happy to hear any suggestions you have for improvement after you apologize for interrupting his rehearsal. Isn't that right, Professor Williams?"
"R-Rehearsal?" Elliot stuttered, finally turning to take in his surroundings. Certainly enough, the room he'd barged into was arranged with a small raised stage at the front, desks and chairs pushed aside to leave room for the students to rehearse. At the back of the room, with a script laid before him, sat a portly but jovial old professor. Elliot knew him, that ever present smile, that bushy mustache, it was Professor Thomas Williams, the head of the drama faculty. Suddenly he felt a flush creeping quickly over his cheeks and ears.
"It's quite all right," Professor Williams replied, amiably, "To be honest I wanted to see how they would handle it. We've been doing a few exercises on improvisation lately, Young Master Nightray was giving us quite an impressive opportunity to practice."
"That's very true," Leo said mostly to himself and the professor, "Still, Elliot, you should apologize."
"I'm very sorry for disturbing your performance," Elliot groused out, the words coming all in a rush as he shifted uneasily from foot to foot.
Professor Williams waved his apology off with one hand, "Not to worry. But you know, Young Master Nightray, you do seem to have quite a great deal of passion. Have you ever given any thought to joining one of our courses? I think the curriculum would be quite to your interest."
"I respectfully refuse," Elliot snapped, clipped but polite, and turned on his heel, his face still beet red. "Come on, Leo! We're leaving!"
"So quickly?" Leo asked, turning to nod to the professor before he followed his master out, "Thank you very much for your time, professor."
"Don't encourage him," Elliot grumbled, mostly to himself waiting until they were out of earshot of the classroom before turning on his servant and adding, "Anyway, why didn't you stop me earlier if you knew that's what it was?"
"Hm?" Leo intoned, a faintly amused smile on his face, "It's just like Professor Williams said. I really wanted to see how things would turn out for you."
Elliot scowled, favoring Leo with a fixed glare. "Next time say something earlier!"
Leo only laughed in reply, nodding once. Though when Professor Williams sent them both tickets to the opening night of the show a week later, he made certain to leave them out in the dorm room so he could watch Elliot's flustered fit over the edge of his latest book. There wasn't an empty seat in the house, of course. Even Elliot had to grudgingly admit that the departures the director had made from the script made for a better play, in the end.
